Speak up if you have questions or concerns about your care.<\/li>\n<li>Tell a member of your health care team about your past illnesses and your current health condition.<\/li>\n<li>Bring all of your medicines with you when you go to the hospital or to a medical appointment.<\/li>\n<li>Tell a member of your health care team if you have ever had an allergic or bad reaction to any medicine or food.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you know what to do when you go home from the hospital or from your medical appointment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information on the Patient Safety Tips Program, please visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oha.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ontario Hospital Association<\/a>&#8216;s Web site.<\/p>\n<h2>New pamphlet for patients gives tips for staying safe<\/h2>\n<p>Patients can do a lot of small things to make their health-care experience as safe as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Hospitals are places of recovery and healing but there are also safety risks for patients, such as infections, falls and medication errors that can happen despite our best efforts.<\/p>\n<p>This useful brochure, entitled \u201c<a href=\"\/en\/documents\/2017\/01\/p1137engmar2015.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Take charge of your safety: Helpful tips for patients and their families<\/a>,\u201d provides a number of helpful tips to help patients and their families stay safe.<\/p>\n<h2>Video: Consumers Can Help Prevent Harm from Opioid Use!<\/h2>\n<p><iframe class=\"table-responsive\" title=\"Consumers Can Help Prevent Harm from Opioid Use!
