As a part of our commitment to quality care and patient safety, there are a few things you need to know before you visit.<\/p>\n
Wash Your Hands Scent-free Restrictions for positive or presumed COVID-19 cases You may only need to self-isolate for 5 days, as required by Ottawa Public Health<\/a>, but you still should not visit the hospital for 10 days.<\/p>\n Please review the Ottawa Public Health self-isolation requirements before coming to the hospital.<\/p>\n This regulation applies to all individuals<\/u> \u2014 regardless of age or vaccination status \u2014 including non-emergent patients, Essential Care Partners and staff.<\/p>\n If you have or suspect you have COVID-19 and need to be treated for your symptoms, please visit the Emergency Department<\/a> at either the Civic or General Campus.<\/p>\n If you have a medical appointment booked at the hospital within 10 days of your positive COVID-19 test or onset of symptoms, please call the office to reschedule your appointment to a time that is safer for everyone.<\/p>\n If you are an employee, please contact your leader to determine what is required and when you are able to return to work.<\/p>\n Violence in the Workplace
\n<\/strong>When you arrive at any of our three campuses (Civic, General and Riverside), you will see hand-wash stations set up at each of our entrances. Please stop and wash your hands before entering the hospital.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Wherever possible, we have eliminated the use of products with scents or other properties that are known to cause health problems for patients, visitors, employees and volunteers. Please do not wear\/use perfume, after-shave or other scented personal products in the hospital or when visiting a patient.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Like all hospitals, The Ottawa Hospital is a \u201chighest risk setting<\/a>.\u201d For the health and safety of our patients, staff and visitors, any individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 or displays COVID-19 symptoms must wait 10 days before coming to the hospital<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n
\n<\/strong>The Ottawa Hospital will not tolerate violent acts or threats directed at any employee, physician or volunteer. Security Services will be notified and take the appropriate action.<\/p>\n
