The physician group involved in the care of these women are specialists in Obstetric Medicine and are experienced internal medicine doctors.<\/p>\n A variety of patient types are seen in the SPU. They include women with diabetes (Type 1 or 2), gestational diabetes, thyroid disease, hypertension (including preeclampsia) and many other medical conditions.
