It is a privilege to share your birth experience.<\/p>\n<p>Our approach is \u2018family-centred\u2019 \u2013 that means, we try to give you the kind of birth experience you want. We support your right to make decisions based on your own beliefs and values. We provide personal care, education, and support according to your needs and wishes.<\/p>\n<p>Our goals are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to help you during your pregnancy, labour, and birth<\/li>\n<li>to provide a safe and caring environment<\/li>\n<li>to help you with early parenting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The first few days with your baby are important. Staying together is the best way to begin your first precious days as a family. We want you to have a great start together.<\/p>\n<h2>MyChart<\/h2>\n<p>You\u2019re expecting a baby. <em>Congratulations!<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>What to do next?<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Register for your delivery by calling the Admitting department:\n<ul>\n<li>General Campus: 613-737-8200<\/li>\n<li>Civic Campus: 613-761-4131<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Sign up for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ottawahospital.on.ca\/en\/patients-visitors\/mychart\/\">MyChart<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ottawahospital.on.ca\/en\/patients-visitors\/mychart\/\">MyChart<\/a> during your pregnancy will give you access to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maternal Health Questionnaire<\/li>\n<li>Self-schedule support groups<\/li>\n<li>Upcoming appointments<\/li>\n<li>Test results<\/li>\n<li>Your newborn\u2019s documents, including the Proof of Birth letter<\/li>\n<li>Proxy Consent Form<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If your partner signs up for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ottawahospital.on.ca\/en\/patients-visitors\/mychart\/\">MyChart<\/a>, they too can have access to your baby\u2019s health information<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout-text-inner toh-green\">\n<p class=\"callout-text\">Don\u2019t wait!
