This clinic provides care to women with medical conditions that have an impact on or can be changed by a pregnancy. We look after women who have Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, bleeding or clotting problems, hormone problems like thyroid problems and any lifelong medical conditions that need to be treated with medications.

We offer counseling before and during pregnancy and work with your obstetrician, midwife or family physician. Our team of specialized health professionals includes an endocrinologist, medical internist, registered nurses, dietitian and diabetes nurse specialist / educator.

A group session is offered to women with gestational diabetes every Wednesday afternoon: 1:15 – 4 p.m. The diabetes nurse educator and dietitian teach this session. An appointment is scheduled to meet the doctor 2 weeks after this group session.

Note: Your Family Doctor, Obstetrician or Midwife must refer you to this clinic.
