Over the course of the last month, loyal staff members were honoured in four long-service-award ceremonies. In all, 2057 staff members were invited to celebrate their long-term commitments to each other, to The Ottawa Hospital and, most importantly, to our patients.
“It was indeed an honour and privilege to host these events and to give due recognition to the staff who have committed so many years serving our community,” said Dr. Jack Kitts, President and CEO of The Ottawa Hospital. “When I think of the years of service given, I can’t help but think about what this represents in terms of skills, expertise, experience, commitment and loyalty. It’s astounding to think about the contribution that has been made to the hospital, both individually and collectively.”
The Ottawa Hospital is very proud of its ability to retain dedicated employees and delighted to celebrate these compassionate team members. Every day, they are tested with significant challenges and barriers; and every day they personify compassion and perseverance in the face of those challenges. Hospital employees are here to serve a greater purpose – to make a difference in the lives of thousands of patients and families they care for each year.
