We provide a range of hospital-based services at the Civic & General campuses and we offer a number of highly specialized community-based services that complement the hospital-based services.

Due to high demand, the DBT-Lite Program is not currently accepting new patients.

Community Treatment Order Program (CTO)

TOH provides coordination for the development and ongoing functioning of CTOs with one of three Coordinators in the region.

Consultative/Educational Services

The program provides a consultation service to medical/surgical units of TOH, The Heart Institute, and the Women’s Health Centre.

Acute Partial Hospitalization Program (APHP)

The goal of the APHP is to provide intensive treatment to individuals with moderate to severe mental illness to help restore functioning and independent living.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

The DBT-Lite Program is a 21-week skills group for individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder.

Eating Disorders Program (EDP)

EDP serves the needs of adult patients in the Ottawa Carleton region and Eastern Ontario, who is struggling with serious eating disorders.

Inpatient Services

The vast majority of patients admitted come through Psychiatric Emergency Services.

Mobile Crisis Team (MCT)

MCT is an outreach team that is designed to provide rapid assessment of and stabilization for individuals in the community who are experiencing a mental health crisis.

On Track: First Episode Psychosis Program

On Track is a voluntary rehabilitative program that provides care for people ages 16 to 35 years, who are experiencing symptoms of psychosis.

Outpatient Services & Urgent Consultation Clinic

The aim of the Outpatient Department is to provide follow-up treatment for patients following discharge, where ongoing treatment is required.

Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES)

PES is a specialized service for assessing individuals deemed to be suffering from a psychiatric illness and who are in crisis.

Shared Mental Health Care

The Shared Mental Health Care Team is a community based, multidisciplinary team that works with the Family Health Teams of TOH.

Perinatal Mental Health Program

The Ottawa Hospital’s Perinatal Mental Health Program offers specialized psychiatric support to people who are planning pregnancy, are pregnant, or who have given birth in the past year, and who have existing or suspected mental health issues.

Mental Well-Being Response Team (MWRT)

MWRT responds to non-violent, non-criminal 9-1-1 calls within Ottawa where mental health issues and substance use are contributing and/or complicating factors.
