Volunteer Associations

Volunteers at The Ottawa Hospital become members of one of the following Volunteer Associations:

• Civic Auxiliary
• Friends of The Ottawa Hospital (General Campus)
• Riverside Campus Auxiliary
• Rehabilitation Centre Volunteer Association
• Canadian Cancer Society
• Heart Institute Auxiliary
• May Court Club

The Volunteer Associations are autonomous organizations. They share in their comittment to, and support of, high quality and patient-focused healthcare at The Ottawa Hospital.

Volunteers are involved in many clinical areas of the hospital providing compassion, support and information to patients, families and visitors at The Ottawa Hospital.

In addition to patient and family support, volunteer association members operate coffee shops, shops, lottery kiosks and other special fundraising events within the hospital. These ventures result in significant funds being raised annually by the associations. The funds are used to enhance patient care, purchase specialized equipment, and support research at each Association’s respective campus.
