as:

- cardiovascular disease
- depression
- diabetes
- hypertension
- metabolic and endocrine disorders
- osteoporosis
The strength training component is derived from an evidence-based program designed by Dr. Miriam Nelson from Tufts University, for which the SEGWHC became the first Canadian Satellite in 2005.
