The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre Patient
Information booklet
provides you with information about what to expect on your first visit
and also while you are having treatment at the Cancer Centre. It includes
information about chemotherapy and radiation treatment, your healthcare
team, as well as the support services and personal care and well-being
programs offered at the Centre and in the community.
The guide includes practical information on such topics as transportation,
parking and financial issues, and contains a directory of telephone numbers
and definitions of cancer terms.
If you are unable to drive or find someone to drive you, there
are several options with regards to transportation. See the Patient
Information booklet for details.

The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Program sees patients at two locations: The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre , 501 Smyth Road and the Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre ,
3045 Baseline Road.

Accommodations for Patients
The Maurice J. Grimes Lodge, located at 200 Melrose Avenue, within the
Civic Campus, provides accommodation for cancer patients who live more
than 40 kilometres from the Ottawa Cancer Centre and who are
coming to the Centre for tests or treatment.
The Lodge was built, equipped, and furnished by the Canadian Cancer Society
(CCS) and managed by The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre. It
is provided for Ontario residents living outside of Ottawa who require
medical testing or treatment at the Cancer Centre.
