Advocacy and Clinical Risk


The Department of Advocacy and Clinical Risk receives, investigates and follows up on concerns, complaints and compliments that patients and families may have about their care. 

As part of its quality improvement programme, The Ottawa Hospital has implemented a Comment Card system to obtain ongoing feedback from patients. It is a good opportunity for you, the patient, to reflect on your experience at The Ottawa Hospital.

Our mission is to provide a concerns management process, which optimizes patient and family satisfaction. We are committed to resolving issues in an atmosphere of respect, compassion and fairness.

If you have any concerns about your care that the manager of the area has been unable to resolve, an Advocacy and Clinical Risk Coordinator would be pleased to assist.
