Nursing Recruitment Information
Relocation Reimbursement
Registered Nurses being hired on a permanent full-time or permanent part-time
basis (individuals hired as casual or part-time commitment #2 do not qualify)
and required to relocate from a distance in excess of 100 kilometers beyond
the boundaries of the new city of Ottawa, may be granted a reimbursement
for relocation expenses based on the following guidelines:
- A Registered Nurse moving 3,501 kilometers or more may qualify for
up to $4,000.00;
- A Registered Nurse moving between 2,001 and 3,500 kilometers may qualify
for up to $3,000.00;
- A Registered Nurse moving between 500 and 2,000 kilometers may qualify
for up to $2,000.00; and,
- A Registered Nurse moving less than 500 kilometers but in excess of
100 kilometers beyond the boundaries of the new city of Ottawa may qualify
for up to $1,000.00.
Education Bonus
The Hospital recognizes advanced education by providing non-cumulative,
escalating monthly salary bonuses to certain full-time and part-time nurses;
for specialty courses (4 months or more in duration), recognized certification,
30 credits toward a BScN, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or a Master's
Degree in Nursing or Education.
