Welcome to the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Newborn Care at The Ottawa Hospital and University of Ottawa.

Situated in Canada's National Capital Region, we are able to deliver our clinical and academic program in a unique cultural and linguistic environment.

The Ottawa Hospital is the high-risk perinatal and tertiary obstetrics and gynecology referral centre for Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec and Baffin Island. We excel in high-risk antenatal, perinatal and neonatal care and provide advanced programs and care in women’s health, gynecologic oncology, minimally invasive surgery and pelvic floor disorders.

Our program, under the guidance of Clinical Director Ann Mitchell, is committed to providing the highest quality family-centered care and is dedicated to clinical excellence, education and research in a multidisciplinary clinical setting. We remain, at all times, consistent with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of The Ottawa Hospital.
