Vision and Mission
Vision
With the dedication of our staff, the strength of
our unified service model, and the commitment of the Kidney Research
Centre, the Division strives to be a national and international leader
in nephrology patient care, teaching and research.
Mission
The Division of Nephrology consists of specialists in the field of kidney disease,
and provides excellence in care to adults with all forms of kidney disease and living
kidney donors in an environment which promotes and supports high quality research
(the Kidney Research Centre) and education (training of undergraduate students and
postgraduate physicians, and teaching of patients and their families).
We care for patients and their families in Ottawa and the surrounding
regions of Eastern Ontario, with a goal to serve patients as close
to their homes as possible, and in an environment respectful of
the bilingual nature of the region.
We aim to provide seamless care, which is readily accessible,
and which is delivered at all times with compassion and expertise.
We are members of a multidisciplinary team, consisting of nephrologists,
other physicians, researchers, nurses and managers, allied health
professionals, technical staff, secretaries, and clerical staff,
all dedicated to the delivery of excellent patient care.
