Swapnil Hiremath, MD, FRCP(C)

Assistant Professor

Dr Swapnil Hiremath is an Assistant Professor Medicine in the Division of Nephrology at the University of Ottawa and at The Ottawa Hospital.

Dr. Hiremath received his medical education at the Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital affiliated to the University of Mumbai, India. He did his Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology Fellowship as well at the University of Mumbai. He then did an additional three year Clinical Fellowship at the University of Ottawa which included a one year special concentration in Hemodialysis.

He is currently enrolled in a summer-only Masters in Public Health at the Harvard School of Public Health. He is a member of the Canadian Society of Nephrology, the American Society of Nephrology and the Indian Society of Nephrology.

Clinical outcomes research in Hemodialysis and Acute Renal Failure

Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in nephrology.
