January 17, 2011 – The Ottawa Hospital and the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute have launched their new websites at The Ottawa Hospital and ohri.ca.
The Ottawa Hospital’s new vision, “to provide each patient with the world-class care, exceptional service and compassion that we would want for our loved ones”, is a call to action to do everything we can to provide patient-centered care that enhances patients, families, employees and students experience of the Hospital.
That is the driving force behind the new websites. This will make it easier for visitors to:
- Learn more about Hospital’s vision, mission, programs and services;
- Find directions from their homes to the Hospital, and back;
- Navigate their way within the corridors of our three campuses;
- Search/contact physicians and researchers by name, specialty or program; and
- Identify and apply for career or training opportunities at The Ottawa Hospital.
Finally, visitors will enjoy immediate and real-time access to all the news that is fit to print about The Ottawa Hospital. For the first time, the Hospital will use Facebook, YouTube and Twitter to facilitate communications with the community.
