National Day of Mourning: April 28, 2017

April 24, 2017 – On April 28 every year, we observe the National Day of Mourning to honour and remember those who lost their lives or suffered from illness or injury due to work related incidents. All staff are encouraged to wear yellow in honour of this day.

To commemorate the day, the hospital will be lit with yellow lights, and there will be a moment of silence at 11 a.m. on Friday April 28.

The WSIB has created a tribute video to workers who have lost their lives due to workplace injuries or illnesses. Watch it here.

Members of the Safety Office will be walking around the main hall on April 28 morning with additional information.

Always remember to stay safe!
