Hello everyone,

I would like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation for all the hard work occurring across all the organizations since Project Fusion launched in mid-September – the Project Team, Epic team, leadership and the broad stakeholders – clinicians, support teams.  It takes all of us working together on Project Fusion to reach our common goal: the successful and timely implementation of the Epic Health Information System across the Atlas Alliance partnership of organizations.

We are nearing the completion of Groundwork (Phase 0), and Project Fusion’s core team has been very active getting a significant amount of work accomplished behind the scenes. This work includes completing training and certification at Epic headquarters to support our broad stakeholder community with a successful delivery date for Go-Live with Epic on June 1, 2019. The technical team has been conducting an in-depth analysis of systems, equipment, and compatible readiness. The clinical and physician groups have begun sharing their expertise in many sessions with Epic and the Project Fusion team. Throughout November and December 2017, more than 100 project sessions were held with over 500 participants from across the Atlas Alliance partnership. This is just the beginning of Project Fusion activities as there is much more to come.  Communications has been busy supporting our project and getting information ready for dissemination at every level. We hope you are enjoying the newsletters and the Planet Fusion website.

Every team member provides value upon which the success of the Epic implementation rests. As we move through this current phase, it is very evident the speed at which Project Fusion must be rolled out to reach our goal of Go-Live with Epic in June 2019. I am confident that, working together, we will get there.

I would like to wish you and your family a joyous holiday season and a wonderful New Year. The year 2018 will be exciting and challenging as we work and learn in order to deliver the very best in patient safety, quality and world-class care in a digital age.

Wishing you all the best over the holidays and a very Happy New Year!
