Renée Légaré is currently the Executive Vice-President & Chief Human Resources Officer at The Ottawa Hospital (TOH), which is one of the largest Academic Health Sciences Centres in the country.

Renée has worked at The Ottawa Hospital for the past 8 years, where she is recognized for her strong leadership skills, her passion for people, her energetic approach, and her desire to make a difference. She brings to the organization over 25 years of extensive experience in human resources, which includes change management, performance management and measurement, wellness and engagement, talent management and development, employee and labour relations as well as extensive coaching and mentoring. Renée is highly respected by her fellow leaders and staff and is known for her excellent ability to listen and to mentor individuals. Renée earned her Master’s in Industrial Relations from Université du Québec en Outaouais and an Honours degree in Economics from Université de Sherbrooke. To enhance her leadership abilities, she completed her Director’s Education Program with the Institute of Corporate Directors. She also recently successfully completed her PhD in Industrial Relations. Renée is always looking for ways to improve our healthcare system, by taking on new initiatives and projects to continue to provide the best experience for our people and world-class care for our patients.
